Local film star!

The spotlight has recently fallen on Watchfield resident Linda Jones with a film made about her by landlord Soha Housing. 50 year old Linda, of Charlesby Drive, features in a two-minute documentary, shot partly at Swindon Central Library, which describes her juggling being a Mum of four with studying for a University degree and – last year – obtaining a Masters in Forensic Science and Criminal Justice. Linda also incredibly finds time for herself, learning to play the piano, painting in acylics and putting the family dog Bailey through his training paces!

The film is part of a series, Real People, True Stories, which relates the (extra)ordinary lives which play out in Soha Housing homes. Eleven tenants have been featured so far, from a retired Harrier Jump Jet test pilot, through a former serviceman whose job is to transition veterans into civilian life, to a resident who spends his free time teaching return to employment online skills all over southern Oxfordshire.
