Oxfordshire County Council, with the support of Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire District Councils, is putting forward a proposal for a unitary authority across Oxfordshire. That means a single tier of council governance instead of 2 tiers. The proposals can be found at http://www.oneoxfordshire.org/ and you are encouraged to response using the ‘Join the Debate’ area or you can email comments directly to the Chief Executive (peter.clark@oxfordshire.gov.uk). The timescale for commenting on this proposal is very short and we have until February 28th 2017.
