Oxfordshire County Council has agreed to remove the weight limit on the Major’s Road chicane to direct construction traffic from Cowan’s Camp down Major’s Road rather than down the High Street in conflict with village and school traffic. There will be posts and signs erected at the junction with the High Street prohibiting access to HGVs. It is our understanding that the road/verge/culvert condition was assessed prior to this work and any damage will have to be rectified.
